On a very hot Summer’s day 50 brave individuals walked 27 miles from Bognor Regis Pier to Brighton Pier on Sunday 1st July, in support of the ‘Extra Cover for Sri Lanka’ charity. We are proud to have supported the 50 walkers by transporting their belongings to Brighton, picking up any stragglers along the way, and bringing everyone home at the end of the day. It was an early start at 5.30am from Bognor Pier with everyone reaching Brighton by 5pm.
Extra Cover is a fantastic charity overseen by Matthew Hansford of Hansford Menswear, helping over 1000 children at 28 poor rural schools every day by providing extra food, clean water, educational equipment, shoes, games and much more. Woods are also pleased to be able to support this charity by purchasing a new Tuk-Tuk to assist with transportation of the disabled children in the local area to the special education units and training centres.
