Day 1 A morning departure to meet your tour coach, and then we travel north to Lancashire with suitable refreshment stops along the way
Day 2 Today we have a full-day guided tour of Pendle Hill Country, hearing about the infamous witches. We call at Barrowford Visitor Centre before heading over to Pendle Hill on our way to Clitheroe for our lunch break. We then drive through the ‘Britain in Bloom’ village of Chipping and on into the Hodder Valley. We take a break at the Riverside Tearooms before heading back to the hotel.
Day 3 We travel to Bury where we can browse the world-famous Bury Market. Often voted market of the year, you’ll find over 350 stalls to visit! Afterwards, explore Bury at leisure and enjoy lunch. Later, we return to our hotel where we have an included cream tea and time to relax before dinner this evening.
Day 4 This morning we journey to Leighton Hall Estate, an impressive grade II listed stately hall, and the family home of the famous Gillow furniture-making family who are still residents today. We have a guided tour and the chance to explore the famous collection of Gillow furniture, and the gardens. After our visit, we visit Lancaster for time at leisure before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we make our way southwards, arriving in the local area late afternoon.
Our three-star hotel is located in the heart of the beautiful Ribble Valley. The hotel features an award-winning restaurant and a leisure club with gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift, but some ground floor rooms are available.
