Explore this stunning part of the country which has beautiful scenery, historic towns, and tranquil, winding rivers to cruise upon. The world-famous Iron Bridge is less than 10 minutes’ walk down the river from the hotel.
Day 1 We make our way towards Telford and our hotel with suitable refreshment stops along the way.
Day 2 A day in Shrewsbury, beginning with free time to explore and get some lunch. In the afternoon, we enjoy a 45-minute cruise on board Sabrina as she sails around the picturesque River Severn Loop, followed by a tour and cream tea at St Mary’s Church.
Day 3 We travel along pretty Wenlock Edge, via Craven Arms to Ludlow, where you have free time to explore this pretty market town with its black & white timber-frame buildings. Mid-afternoon, we make our way back to our hotel with time to relax before dinner.
Day 4 A morning visit to Blists Hill, a fascinating recreation of a Victorian town complete with staff in authentic costume. The afternoon is free in Ironbridge, one of the most important centres of the industrial revolution and now a delightful town of shops, tea rooms and, of course, the iconic bridge.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast we make our way to Cirencester with time for refreshments and sightseeing before continuing home.
