Come and celebrate 97 years of the Joe Loss Orchestra. Be part of this special celebration with one of the UK’s most versatile and successful dance orchestras. Led by Todd Miller since 1972, whose vocal prowess and versatility has received acclaim from audiences around the world. Our break includes free time in the lovely Yorkshire town of Harrogate as a bonus.
Day 1 THURSDAY A morning departure to Harrogate arriving during the afternoon at the Old Swan Hotel for our 4 -night stay.
Day 2 FRIDAY After a leisurely breakfast we journey to the market town of Ripon. Enjoy free time at leisure to look around this magnificent cathedral town. We return to Harrogate and relax before dinner, which is followed by live entertainment with Jason Allen Swing & Sway.
Day 3 SATURDAY Today is free for you to explore the pretty town of Harrogate. Enjoy a lovely stroll through the beautiful Valley Gardens, explore the independent shops of the Montpellier Quarter, try the many restaurants, cafes and bars or take a break in the famous Betty’s Tearooms. Later, we will return to the hotel to get ready for our evening of entertainment. This begins with a pre-dinner drink, followed by our Gala Dinner. Tonight’s extravaganza is the highlight of the weekend - an evening with the legendary Todd Miller and the Joe Loss Orchestra whose big band and singers will perform hits from the 50s to the 80s for you to enjoy.
Day 4 SUNDAY We journey to the city of York, where you have the day to explore at your own pace. Visit National Railway Museum or The Jorvik Centre. See the magnificent York Minster. Explore the narrow streets and alleyways, including the famous Shambles, or walk the city walls.
Day 5 MONDAY After breakfast we depart our hotel, returning home in the afternoon.
The Old Swan Hotel stands in the centre of the lovely town of Harrogate in Yorkshire - famed as Agatha Christie’s hiding place during her disappearance in 1926. Bedrooms are stylishly furnished and the public areas include the library lounge area, the Wedgwood Room Restaurant, and the lounge bar.
