This tour immerses itself in the life and times of the most famous mystery writer in literary history, the incomparable Agatha Christie. The tour is based at the Mercure Hotel in Paignton and includes an Agatha Christie Presentation, Themed Dinner plus an excursion to some iconic Agatha Christie locations.
Day 1 MONDAY We travel west to our hotel in Paignton.
Day 2 TUESDAY After breakfast, we enjoy a presentation at the hotel telling us about the story of Agatha Christie’s extraordinary life. We then embark on a Themed Agatha Christie Guided Coach Tour of Torquay including a harbourside stop for photo opportunities and a short walk from Agatha’s Bench to the pier (weather dependant). This afternoon, we travel to Kent’s Cavern. Enjoy a guided tour through this labyrinth of chambers listening to stories of early humans, ice-age animals, and Victorian excavators.
Day 3 WEDNESDAY Today, we visit Dartmouth, one of Devon’s most picturesque coastal towns. Nestling on the banks of the River Dart, Dartmouth is a beautiful blend of colourful waterfront buildings and vibrant maritime history. Take a stroll along the harbourside where fishing boats and sailing yachts create a picture-perfect setting.
Day 4 THURSDAY A morning excursion to Brixham, followed by an afternoon at leisure in Paignton. Enjoy a succulent Cream Tea at our hotel in the afternoon.
Day 5 FRIDAY After breakfast we depart our hotel, returning home in the afternoon.
