Itinerary

Day 1 FRIDAY We head north to Oxford with time to explore and get lunch, before continuing to our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2 SATURDAY An exciting opportunity to spend an enjoyable and informative day at Ashwood Nurseries. Go behind the scenes in the Hellebore Production House to discover the fascinating story behind their award-winning hellebores. We also include a self-guided tour of Ashwood owner, John Massey’s 8-acre private garden. Regarded as one of the finest in the UK, it is truly spectacular in winter. A magnificent collection of trees, shrubs and conifers gives strong structure as well providing the perfect canopy for the hellebores, snowdrops, winter aconites and cyclamen that carpet the ground.

Day 3 SUNDAY After a leisurely breakfast, we travel into Birmingham, where we take our seats for the International Tattoo** (Gold Seats), which will bring together massed marching bands, pipes and drums and Field Gun displays. The spectacular Grand Finale features over 1000 performers, including the Parade of Massed Standards, as well as the Royal Air Force Cosford Queen’s Colour and Escort, for a fantastic celebration of pomp and pageantry.

Day 4 MONDAY Departing our hotel, there is free time to explore Stratford-upon-Avon before a gentle drive home through some pretty Cotswold villages, arriving home during the late afternoon.
