With beautiful sea views across the bay at Sandown, The Trouville Hotel is a Woods favourite. Customers return to enjoy Christmas again and again, to relax in comfort, enjoy the festive atmosphere, excellent entertainment and ride on the wonderful Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
Day 1 We make our way across Hampshire for the afternoon ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne. We then travel to our hotel in Sandown for tea and mince pies. This evening, dinner is followed by music and dancing.
Day 2 Christmas Eve - Perhaps enjoy a stroll along the Sandown Promenade before returning to the hotel for a light lunch from the bar. This afternoon, tea and Christmas cake are served and this evening we sing Christmas carols in the lounge before a candlelit dinner and entertainment in the ballroom.
Day 3 Christmas Day - Happy Christmas! This morning try the puzzles and games in the lounge before enjoying some sparkling wine and carols. Your traditional Christmas Lunch is followed by the King’s Speech in the lounge, and then the Bumper Quiz of the Year! A light supper is followed by entertainment in the ballroom.
Day 4 Boxing Day - Mid-morning we travel to Havenstreet station with its festive decorations for a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, a 50- minute round trip. Early afternoon enjoy afternoon tea in the hotel restaurant. In the evening, dinner is followed by dancing in the ballroom.
Day 5 We return to Fishbourne and our ferry to the mainland, where we make our way along the coast and home.
The Trouville is situated on The Esplanade in Sandown with sweeping views of the bay from the bar, the restaurant and the twin and double rooms. The bedrooms offer TV, telephone, WiFi and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift and entertainment every evening.
