The Christmas Spectacular is an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It is a fast-moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites with famous and much-loved chart toppers being sung alongside traditional carols. With a cast of 120 this is the biggest Christmas show of its kind in Europe! Our base for this tour is the delightful Wensum Valley Hotel, located 7 miles to the north of Norwich, perfectly situated for Thursford and our 4-day tour to Norfolk.
Day 1 SUNDAY We travel to our hotel near Norwich via the charming town of Colchester for our 3-night stay.
Day 2 MONDAY Thursford Spectacular! After a relaxed breakfast we travel to Thursford. We arrive with time to get lunch and visit the shops before the afternoon performance.
Day 3 TUESDAY After breakfast we visit Wroxham Barns – a beautifully restored 18th century barn which now houses a wonderful collection of craft shops. In the afternoon we continue to Norwich. Norfolk's cathedral city is a medieval gem, nestling beneath its dominating Norman Castle. A wonderful city of cobbled streets, half-timbered buildings and Georgian town houses
Day 4 WEDNESDAY Departing after breakfast we return home with a stop in Bury St Edmunds before returning to the local area and our taxis home.
Set in 250 acres of the beautiful Wensum Valley, near Norwich. This 3-star hotel offers comfortable accommodation. The Valley Restaurant serves seasonal menus using local produce and features wonderful views across the golf course. Facilities include a bar, lounge, Wi-Fi, indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa bath, steam room and gym. All bedrooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is no lift, but plenty of ground floor rooms are available. Bedrooms are accessed by a covered walkway (not enclosed) and all have walk-in showers.
