Discover a festive atmosphere like no other at Blenheim Palace. The historic Palace comes alive with thousands of twinkling lights, seasonal scents, sparkling baubles and the warmth of the festive season. You can also browse the Christmas market stalls in the Great Court and pick up some gifts or enjoy the festive food on offer – it is sure to be amazing experience!
Day 1 FRIDAY We travel north making suitable refreshment stops along the way. We arrive at the Stratford Manor Hotel during the afternoon and settle into our rooms. Enjoy a welcoming drinks reception before tonight’s three-course dinner.
Day 2 SATURDAY After breakfast we make our way to the beautiful town of Stratford-Upon-Avon where you will have a full day to embrace this medieval market town, birthplace of William Shakesphere. Why not explore the house where he was born and grew up, his schoolroom or spoil yourself with a spot of shopping in the diverse array of bustling shops. After a full day of exploring, we then make our way back to our hotel arriving in time for our evening meal.
Day 3 SUNDAY Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 300 years of history. Situated in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside, Blenheim Palace comes alive during the festive season, with beautiful Christmas decorations, as well as a Christmas market in The Great Court, where you can stock up on festive treats! (Please note the after dark light trail is not included in our itinerary today). This year’s theme is Cinderella, with the Palace transformed by a BAFTA awardwinning team of designers.
Day 4 MONDAY Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel home with suitable refreshment stops, reaching the local area late afternoon.
Situated only a few miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, this modern hotel has an elegant and spacious interior. All bedrooms have TV, telephone, ironing facilities, hairdryer, and hospitality tray. There is a games room, and a Leisure Club complete with heated pool, gym, sauna, and steam room. The hotel has Wi-Fi and a lift to most rooms.
