The Christmas Spectacular is an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It is a fast-moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites with famous and much-loved chart toppers being sung alongside traditional carols. With a cast of 120 this is the biggest Christmas show of its kind in Europe! Our tour is based in the premier Norfolk seaside resort of Great Yarmouth which boasts 15 miles of golden sandy beaches, the classic “Golden Mile” seafront and extensive Pleasure Beach attractions.
Day 1 TUESDAY We travel north-east to Bury St Edmunds where we stop for refreshments before continuing to our hotel in Great Yarmouth for our 3-night stay.
Day 2 WEDNESDAY Thursford Spectacular! After a relaxed breakfast we travel to Thursford. We arrive with time to get lunch and visit the shops before the afternoon performance.
Day 3 THURSDAY This morning we visit the fascinating city of Norwich. Norfolk's cathedral city is a medieval gem, nestling beneath its dominating Norman Castle. A wonderful city of cobble streets, half-timbered buildings and Georgian town houses. The imposing Norman Cathedral is part of the most complete medieval city of England. Visit the museums, the speciality shops and restaurants.
Day 4 FRIDAY Departing after breakfast we return homeward, arriving late afternoon.
Located at the relaxed end of Great Yarmouth seafront, with outstanding sea views, the 4-star Imperial Hotel & Restaurant is the perfect base for our tour of the region. Offering quintessential quality, the Imperial is a Great British seaside hotel overlooking the beach and refurbished Venetian Waterway Gardens. Facilities include Terrace, Bar/Lounge, and 2 Restaurants. There are 9 steps up to reception, but a stair lift is available. The lift goes to all bedrooms, which have TV, telephone, Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities. There are 7 steps down to the hotel's Café Cru Restaurant.
