Join us on this lovely winter break for a truly unique spectacle as hundreds of illuminated lanterns transform the beautiful Longleat Estate into a glowing winter wonderland. We also visit the Safari Park, the festively decorated Elizabethan stately home, and have time for shopping in Bath. The theme for 2026 is 'Legendary Worlds'!
Day 1 WEDNESDAY We travel across the country toward Bath and our hotel, making suitable refreshment stops along the way.
Day 2 THURSDAY We have a full day at Longleat to make the most of the many attractions. Visit the animals as we drive through the amazing Safari Park*; see the mansion house and gardens decorated beautifully for Christmas; enjoy a trip on the jungle cruiser and buy wonderful Christmas gifts. At 4pm the lights come on and the grounds are populated with spectacular illuminated forms – a sight not to be missed.
Day 3 FRIDAY After breakfast, we travel into Bath with time to explore this beautiful city and to get lunch. Early afternoon we make our way homewards.
Overlooking the spectacular Limpley Stoke Valley, the hotel is a stunning property with extensive gardens and elegant spacious public rooms. The hotel has a stylish restaurant and traditional bar. The comfortable bedrooms have TV, WiFi, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The guestrooms are located on three floors, not all with lift access. Due to the architecture of the building there are some steps throughout.
