This beautiful and historic hotel is a magical venue for your Christmas break. In the grounds of Orton Hall are the Old Ramblewood Inn and Holy Trinity Church, and we have included a visit to see the pantomime Jack & The Beanstalk. This holiday is one of our most popular Christmas breaks and is always booked up very quickly.
Day 1 Christmas Eve - We make our way north stopping at Saffron Walden for lunch and sightseeing. We continue to our hotel where this evening there will be a Christmas drink and carols before dinner. Holy Trinity Church in the grounds of the hotel may have Midnight Services.
Day 2 Christmas Day - Happy Christmas! A morning visit by Santa is followed by a traditional Christmas Lunch with a glass of wine. In the afternoon relax and enjoy the King’s Speech in the Conservatory, and in the evening a delicious buffet.
Day 3 Boxing Day - A morning excursion to the beautiful conservation town of Stamford. We return to a buffet luncheon at the hotel. The afternoon is free to relax and then we have Boxing Day Dinner, with entertainment.
Day 4 Today we visit King’s Lynn, where there will be some free time before we take our seats for the Jack & The Beanstalk pantomime at the Corn Exchange. We return to our hotel for our evening meal.
Day 5 We leave our hotel this morning for a leisurely drive back to the South making suitable stops, before arriving in the local area.
Set in 20 acres of mature parkland in Orton Longueville, this four-star character hotel has WiFi, and 70 individually furnished bedrooms with TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities, safe and hospitality tray. Leisure facilities include swimming pool, mini-gym, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi*. The hotel does not have a lift, but some ground floor rooms are available. There are some steps throughout.
