Day 1 MONDAY We make our way north making suitable refreshment stops en route before arriving at our hotel late afternoon.
Day 2 TUESDAY This morning we take a scenic drive over the Yorkshire Dales to Richmond, where there is free time to explore and get lunch. We then enter Wensleydale visiting the market town of Hawes, famous for its cheese and its scenic location before returning alongside Garsdale.
Day 3 WEDNESDAY Today we head to Glenridding on Ullswater and enjoy a one-hour steamer trip on the second largest and possibly most beautiful lake in England. We then cross the Kirkstone Pass to Windermere and spend some free time in Bowness-on-Windermere before returning to our hotel.
Day 4 THURSDAY This morning, we experience the comfortable services of Mountain Goat. A fleet of mini coaches takes us first to Coniston Water where we visit the Ruskin Museum where we will be able to view Donald Campbell’s ‘Bluebird.’ From here we enjoy a cruise on Coniston Water on-board the steam yacht Gondola. We continue to Hilltop. This 17th-century farmhouse was where Beatrix Potter wrote many of her children’s stories. Our return is via Tarn Hows.
