Great Yarmouth is Norfolk's biggest and most popular holiday resorts with its Golden Mile, Pleasure Beach and Summer shows! Great Yarmouth is a traditional seaside resort with a beautiful promenade.
Day 1 TUESDAY We travel north-east to Bury St Edmunds where we stop for refreshments, before continuing to our hotel in Great Yarmouth.
Day 2 WEDNESDAY We begin the day with a visit to Wroxham and the charming Norfolk Broads where we enjoy a cruise around the picturesque Broads. In the afternoon we head to Norwich, where a visit to the Cathedral is a must (entry not included), also cobbled Elm Hill and the Castle Mall shopping complex.
Day 3 THURSDAY A free day to relax and enjoy Great Yarmouth. Alternatively, join your driver on a half day excursion into Suffolk to the delightful resort of Southwold.
Day 4 Our first visit today is to Blickling Estate, one of England’s great Jacobean Houses. It is famed for its spectacular Long Gallery and collections of furniture, pictures, books and tapestries. The gardens are full of colour throughout the year and the extensive parkland has a lake with beautiful woodland and lakeside walks. We have a chance to explore and maybe enjoy a drink and bite to eat before we visit the coastal resort Cromer for a leisurely afternoon by the sea.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast we return homeward, arriving in the mid-afternoon.
