Join us for a wonderful Christmas close to Cambridge. Enjoy festive fare and entertainment, see the city and venture into the beautiful winter countryside.
Day 1 Christmas Eve - We travel across the country, with suitable refreshment stops, arriving at our hotel in Cambourne late afternoon. Tonight, we have a musical entertainment after our evening meal. For those attending Midnight Services, a hot drink and mince pie will await your return. (Transport not included.)
Day 2 Christmas Day - Happy Christmas! Enjoy your breakfast and have a relaxing morning at the hotel, maybe have a swim before joining together for a glass of fizz and Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings. Listen to the King’s Speech and relax in the lounges. Dinner tonight is a buffet supper along with festive-themed fun.
Day 3 Boxing Day - This morning we make a short drive to Cambridge, with its magnificent University buildings and wide streets crossing the river Cam. We have time to meander around the city with its interesting alleyways and side streets to explore before enjoying an included lunch. We return to the hotel for our evening meal and musical entertainment.
Day 4 A circular drive takes in the charming towns of Saffron Walden and Ely with free time to explore in both. We round off our delightful stay with a relaxed dinner and evening.
Day 5 We depart our hotel after breakfast and return you to your homes late afternoon.
Our tranquil, lakeside, four-star hotel, the Cambridge Belfry, is 10 miles west of Cambridge. There is a restaurant, bar and lounge. Leisure facilities include swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room and gym. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities, and hospitality tray. The hotel has free WiFi and a lift to all floors.
