Mountbatten Festival of Music - 9.3.24

Just a short note to thank you for the splendid excursion to the Royal Albert Hall last Saturday. The concert was brilliant and the organisation of the day by Woods was faultless.

A special word of praise must also go to C, such a calm and patient driver. I wouldn't want to drive a car through central London these days, let alone a full-sized coach! Bruges Christmas Market - 26.11.23

I'm writing following the Bruges Christmas Market Day Trip yesterday with drivers P & E. It's our first time booking with Woods, or any coach trip, and wanted to pass on our experience.

The booking staff were very helpful, delightful in fact. The drivers were second to none with their careful driving and professional and friendly attitude. They made a point of checking on everyone, ensuring people were comfortable and happy. Great information and commentary was provided throughout the trip, and kindness and respect was shown to everyone. I can not praise them more highly, the way they have represented themselves and the company.

Hampton Court Palace - 21.4.23

Excellent trip to Hampton Court. Many thanks to the driver for telling us interesting facts along the way. The drop off point was excellent and just a short walk to the Palace.

Disney on Ice 'Dream Big' - 30.12.22

May I just offer my thanks to J, our driver. He took the coach trip to the O2 yesterday to Disney on Ice Dream Big. The weather conditions were appalling with a lot of spray and driving rain. He was very professional and drove to the conditions perfectly.

Poole Vintage Cruise & Compton Acres - 30.6.22

I have just returned from my first ever Day Excursion with you. My old friend took me and three other friends on the Poole Vintage Cruise and Compton Acres to celebrate her 80th birthday. I thoroughly enjoyed my day out with Woods and with E, the lovely and good driver.

Hever - Christmas at the Castle with Lunch - 1.12.21

Me and my husband very much enjoyed the day at Hever Castle. In particular the Christmas lunch which was excellent. Beautiful setting. Mulled wine on arrival a surprise and very welcome.

Venue perfect. The carvery was brilliantly carried out. The turkey was moist and tasty, and vegetables were perfectly cooked. The table service of the dessert excellent and surprising to have cafetieres with cream, perfect. Party hats too! Excellent quality overall.

The Castle was very interesting too, and we managed to dodge the showers. The Driver, T, was great, and all in all a great day out. Thank you. TH of Chichester, W Sussex

Swanage & Corfe Castle – 11/09/20

It is good to see Woods back in operation and I enjoyed my trip to Swanage last Friday.
For many years now my late wife and I have enjoyed our holidays and many day trips with your company. I have already booked a handful of trips for this autumn and winter and for a holiday in April.

This letter is to say thank you, both for the continued company activities itself and for your staff who are doing a stirling job under difficult circumstances. Wow! What a fantastic day out to see "Mary Poppins." It was worth every penny (or even pound) for the tickets and the coach ride. The driver even managed to get us home earlier, skilfully negotiating the London traffic in rush hour.

We have recently travelled to London to attend matinee performances of "Tina- the musical" and "Snow White, the Panto" at the Palladium. We just wanted to let you know that both trips were a resounding success!

Our driver, R, was excellent. My wife and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary by joining your company's day trip to London to see Bat Out of Hell. The coach was driven by P who was polite and got us there and back safely for which I am grateful. We appreciated the stop at services on the outward trip, and when we reached the theatre we had enough time to go for lunch in Garfunkel's next to The Dominion Theatre.

The seats you provided were excellent (as was the show). This is the second time I have been on a theatre trip with Woods, the first being to the Mayflower Southampton, and both times the seats have been the best I've ever had, so thank you for that, and it definitely makes me want to book again. Can I just let you know your Driver, J, on our trip to The Ideal Home Show was amazing

He was patient in the bad traffic conditions and kept us all well informed about what was going on and what would be happening. He was also very patient with a late comer on the way home as well.

My Daughter and I had a lot of shopping from the show and J stowed this safely for us in the luggage compartment. The traffic coming home was also very heavy and unpredictable. J stayed calm and focused and got us all home in good time.

I am writing to compliment S and R, the two Woods drivers who looked after us on our trip to Adinkerke & Cite Europe on Saturday.They kept their cool and took very great care of all the passengers.

Arriving back in Chichester at well after midnight I discovered that taxis to Selsey were in short supply, but one on its way back from Tangmere could detour to collect me, this would mean waiting ten minutes in a not very pleasant area. S and R refused to leave me alone on the pavement and insisted I stay on the coach until my taxi arrived, even though they were tired and needed to get home themselves, this was definitely kindness above and beyond their duties.

Being 82 years old and not very mobile I was delighted to take their advice and wait on the coach with them. Please pass on my sincere thanks and give them both a very large 'pat on the back' from me. Both these gentleman are a wonderful advertisement for Woods and the care they take of their passengers. 'I thought I would just drop you a line to commend all concerned in relation to our trip on Wednesday to the Shard when a traffic incident at Vauxhall led to the planned schedule being seriously disrupted.

The lady who accompanied the group, M, kept the Brew Wharf informed about the serious delays and was able to obtain a later time for the group to visit the Shard which in the event was probably a plus point as the clouds had separated and the views were great. She had to walk to the Shard whilst people were lunching as apparently they could not change the time over the phone for some reason.

The driver, T, kept in liaison with your control and the passengers informed and I think all the group had a good day despite what I think was a delay of some 90 minutes sitting in traffic from Battersea to the Embankment.'

I would like to thank you for the arrangements you made for us last Sunday. Everything went very smoothly and everyone enjoyed the varied and different itinerary. It was a bonus that it was a Steam Day at the Lavender Line and they all really enjoyed seeing the steam engines and the relaxing train ride.

The Pudding Club was something completely different and, after sampling 6 different delicious puddings, most of the participants took a leisurely stroll round the lake, before leaving completely bloated. I would also like to thank J, the Driver for his courteous service throughout the day. I have had many good comments on his wonderful attitude to customers. Our trip to see War Horse yesterday was a surprise birthday present (last March!) from my husband and we were really impressed by the cloak and dagger method of keeping it a secret until my birthday day.

The day was superb, the show magnificent, but I expect you have heard that from other people. S, our driver could not be faulted, driving through crowded London streets and keeping us safe all day. So, give yourselves a pat on the back as we are already talking about seeing War Horse again at The Mayflower next year.
