We visit one of the most popular Christmas markets in the UK. Wooden huts and pretty lights will line Parliament Street. Stall holders, dressed in Dickensian costumes, will be offering a huge array of gifts including jewellery, decorations, ceramics, as well as seasonal food and drinks.
Day 1 TUESDAY We journey north, with refreshment stops en-route, arriving at our hotel in time for dinner and our 3-night stay.
Day 2 WEDNESDAY After breakfast, we travel to the medieval city of York, beautifully transformed for the festive season. Explore the iconic St. Nicholas Fayre, where costumed stallholders, traditional chalets, and the aroma of mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, and spicy gingerbread fill the crisp winter air... Just the ‘ticket’ to get you into the Festive Spirit. After a day of seasonal shopping and sightseeing, return to the hotel to relax and enjoy your evening meal.
