Delight in a sweet slice of festive nostalgia with the magic of Christmas and New Year all rolled into one. With shows, Santa, carols and even a pantomime, you will enjoy a stay packed full of festive fun.
Day 1 MONDAY We travel north stopping in Stamford en route. We arrive at our hotel near Harrogate late afternoon.
Day 2 TUESDAY We spend the morning at RHS Harlow Carr, gorgeously designed to fit in with the Yorkshire landscape and gorgeous in the winter. In the afternoon we visit Harrogate, famous for its spa, fine architecture, excellent shopping and Betty’s Café Tearooms.
Day 3 WEDNESDAY A day out in the ancient city of York where we are free to explore the tangle of quaint cobbled streets and the beauty of York Minster. You could also visit the Castle Museum, the National Railway Museum or just enjoy the shopping!
Day 4 THURSDAY Take a morning drive into the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with a stop in Skipton, an historic town with its own castle, independent shops and pleasant cafés. Your afternoon is free to enjoy the leisure facilities at Nidd Hall.
Day 5 FRIDAY Departing after breakfast, we head home via Lincolnshire and the Dartford Crossing making refreshment stops en route. We arrive home early evening.
