Day 1 MONDAY We make our way west, making suitable refreshment stops along the way. We arrive in Torquay and reach our hotel, where we are greeted with tea or coffee. Tonight, there will be a welcome drink before dinner and entertainment.
Day 2 TUESDAY This morning we travel to Plymouth to discover the incredible underwater world at the National Marine Aquarium, where you have free time to explore. In the afternoon we visit the Plymouth Gin Distillery, for an introduction to the distillation process and the botanicals which are used. There will also, of course, be a chance to taste the delicious wares.
Day 3 WEDNESDAY We take a leisurely drive through the wild beauty of the Dartmoor National Park, with a visit to Buckfast Abbey.
Day 4 THURSDAY A free day to enjoy the elegant resort town of Torquay or join your driver on a half day visit to Exeter. Either way, make sure you don’t miss the lovely cream tea available at our hotel this afternoon, along with a fun quiz.
Day 5 FRIDAY We depart after breakfast and stop in Salisbury with time for lunch and shopping. We then continue our journey home.
Situated close to Torquay’s seafront, the hotel boasts leisure facilities which include small gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiiFi, hairdryer, ironing facilities, fridge and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift to most rooms and there is nightly entertainment.
