We return to the spellbinding Three Choirs Festival, this year taking place in the aweinspiring setting of Worcester Cathedral. We visit all three cities and have top price tickets for an amazing concert with the Three Choirs Festival Chorus.
Day 1 We make our way via some of the pretty towns of the Cotswolds to our hotel on the outskirts of Gloucester.
Day 2 We visit Worcester with free time to explore and perhaps visit the fine cathedral, which holds the royal tomb of King John, medieval cloisters, and magnificent Victorian stained glass. We return via Tewkesbury, renowned as having one of the finest black and white townscapes in the country.
Day 3 Our excursion into Gloucester includes free time to explore the town, and the shopping and exhibitions at the Victorian Docks. We also enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent medieval cathedral. We return to our hotel for an early dinner before travelling to Worcester Cathedral for the highlight of our tour – The Festival Finale Concert with a performance of Elgar’s Kingdom 95’ by the Three Choirs Festival Chorus.
Day 4 A leisurely start this morning as we visit the pretty town of Ledbury before travelling to Hereford with its timbered buildings and fine Georgian frontages.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast we have some free time in Cirencester. After lunch we make our way homeward, reaching the local area late afternoon.
