The world-famous Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines will end the year with a military music spectacular! We travel to Bournemouth to witness this remarkable event and have some free time to explore Bournemouth and the gorgeous Christmas Tree Wonderland.
Day 1 Making our way through Hampshire and the New Forest, we have a stop in Lyndhurst where you will be able to get lunch. We continue to our hotel in Bournemouth.
Day 2 Spend your day exploring Bournemouth, indulging in some Christmas shopping or visiting the beautiful Christmas Tree Wonderland*. This free festive trail has a multitude of delightful illuminations through the Lower Gardens. We return to the hotel for an early dinner at 5pm, before travelling the short distance to the Bournemouth Pavilion for our evening of musical military entertainment. The Royal Marines will be showcasing their talents with festive music, military marches and big band hits. In addition, their world-renowned Corps of Drums will demonstrate the precision, accuracy and skill for which they have become famous across the globe. Our seats are in the stalls.
Day 3 After a leisurely breakfast, we depart Bournemouth and travel up to Salisbury, where the historic town centre is crammed with interesting shops and pleasant cafés, excellent for Christmas shopping. We then make our way back to the local area.
Our family-run four-star hotel is situated on the East Cliff, with award-winning garden frontage and terraces overlooking the bay. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, safe, ironing facilities, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is a lift to all floors but not all rooms can be accessed with no stairs. There is some evening entertainment.
