This beautiful and historic hotel is a magical venue for your Christmas break. In the grounds of Orton Hall are the Old Ramblewood Inn and Holy Trinity Church, and we have included a visit to see the pantomime, Peter Pan. This holiday is one of our most popular Christmas breaks and is always booked up very quickly.
Day 1 THURSDAY CHRISTMAS EVE We make our way north stopping at Saffron Walden for lunch and sightseeing. We continue to our hotel where this evening there will be a Christmas drink and carols before dinner.
Day 2 FRIDAY CHRISTMAS DAY Happy Christmas! A morning visit by Santa is followed by a traditional Christmas Lunch with a glass of wine. In the afternoon relax and enjoy the King’s Speech in the Conservatory, and in the evening a delicious buffet.
Day 3 SATURDAY BOXING DAY A morning excursion to the beautiful conservation town of Stamford. We return to a buffet luncheon at the hotel. The afternoon is free to relax and then we have Boxing Day Dinner, with entertainment.
Day 4 SUNDAY Today we visit the Cathedral city of Peterborough, where there will be some free time before we take our seats at the Cresset Theatre for the Peter Pan pantomime. We return to our hotel for our evening meal.
Day 5 MONDAY We leave our hotel this morning for a leisurely drive back to the South making suitable stops for refreshments before arriving in the local area.
We are pleased to return to one of our most popular ‘Christmas’ hotels. The wonderful four-star Orton Hall is set in glorious Cambridgeshire countryside within 20 acres of mature parkland. This character hotel has 70 individually furnished bedrooms with Wi-Fi, TV, telephone, hairdryer, ironing facilities, safe and hospitality tray. Onsite leisure facilities include swimming pool, mini-gym, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi. The hotel does not have a lift, but some ground floor rooms are available on request, most with a few steps.
