Explore the gorgeous scenery and historic black and white townscapes as we dive into the history and flavours around the Malvern Hills.
Day 1 MONDAY Our coach travels across country to Cheltenham, and from here we travel to our hotel in Great Malvern for our four-night stay.
Day 2 TUESDAY We drive into the Malvern Hills and visit Ledbury with free time to explore this beautiful market town, with its many black and white timber-framed buildings, medieval cobbled streets and fine parish church. We then visit Much Marcle and Westons, where cider and perry has been lovingly produced for over 135 years. We have a one-hour walking tour* of the cider mill, a tasting and a light lunch.
Day 3 WEDNESDAY Today we are joined by a knowledgeable local guide as we explore the famous ‘Black & White Village’ trail. See delightful cottages, inns and shops in hamlets such as Dilwyn, Weobley, Eardisley and Pembridge. We return mid-afternoon for free time in Great Malvern.
Day 4 THURSDAY We travel to Witley Court this morning. Once one of the great country houses of Victorian England, attracting fashionable society when it was the setting for extravagant parties and royal entertainment, the house was devastated by fire in 1937. We return via Worcester where we have free time for lunch before enjoying the afternoon at leisure to explore.
Day 5 FRIDAY Departing after breakfast we travel through the Cotswolds with a stop in Stow-on-the-Wold. In the afternoon, we continue to the local area with refreshment stops along the way.
