Explore the magnificent gardens and hidden valleys of the Cambrian mountains.
Day 1 We travel by coach across country and into Wales and have a lunch stop close to Tintern Abbey. We continue up the Wye Valley, across the Black Mountains of the Brecon Beacons National Park to our hotel in Llandrindod Wells.
Day 2 A wonderful tour through the Wye Valley to Aberystwyth for free time to explore before we board the Vale of Rheidol Steam Railway for a scenic journey to Devil’s Bridge. Our destination is famous for its waterfalls and the three stacked bridges. Walk the 5-10 minutes down to the viewing platform or explore the station gift shop and Two Hoots Tearoom*. We return to our hotel by coach.
Day 3 This morning we travel along the beautiful Elan Valley with a stop at the visitor centre, overlooked by the dramatic dam and reservoirs. We have included a light lunch and time to explore before returning to Llandrindod Wells for free time.
Day 4 We travel to Aberglasney Gardens, where we have free time to explore the 10 acres of magnificent gardens and visit the lovely tearooms.
Day 5 A free day to enjoy Llandrindod Wells, with its pretty park overlooking the River Ithon, and many shops and cafés in which to relax. Alternatively, join your driver on a half day excursion to Ludlow.
Day 6 Leaving our hotel after breakfast we travel across the border and visit Ledbury before continuing our journey to the local area, reaching our taxis late afternoon.
