Steeped in history with 60 miles of stunning unspoilt coastal scenery and a wealth of attractions, the Isle of Wight has something for everyone.
Day 1 MONDAY We travel to Portsmouth and our ferry to Fishbourne, arriving in Shanklin late afternoon.
Day 2 TUESDAY This morning we travel Yarmouth, a picturesque and bustling harbour town known for its historic charm and maritime character. We continue to the world-famous Needles Landmark Attraction, one of the Isle of Wight’s most iconic sights and a unique part of Britain. You will find retail outlets, cafés, restaurants, and beautiful views. We return via the Old Military Road pausing at Isle of Wight Pearl, home to an unmissable collection of pearl jewellery with spectacular views over the English Channel.
Day 3 WEDNESDAY This morning we visit Ventnor Botanic Garden and Visitors Centre. Although November can often be one of the gloomiest months of year and gardens around the country are closing down for the winter, here at Ventnor there is a remarkable variety of showy half-hardy plants in flower. Enjoy the riot of colour and interest. We return to Shanklin for a free afternoon to explore the resort.
Day 4 THURSDAY This morning we head to Godshill, one of the most photographed and prettiest villages on the island with its charming thatched-roofed cottages and delightful medieval church. We continue to Cowes, best known as the world's premier yachting centre and the island's main port with a natural harbour.
Day 5 FRIDAY After a final breakfast, we depart our hotel and make our way to Wildheart Animal Sanctuary where all manner of beasts, particularly big cats, are lovingly cared for, having been rescued from all around the world. After lunch we head home by ferry from Fishbourne.
The Trouville is situated on The Esplanade in Sandown with sweeping views of the bay from the bar, the restaurant and the twin and double rooms. Single rooms do not have a view. Bedrooms offer TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is a lift.
