We are pleased to return to our exclusive short breaks with a two-night stay aboard Ambassador’s Ambition as she sails from Portsmouth to Liverpool. We then enjoy three nights at the Best Western Premier Queen Hotel Chester, with time in Liverpool, Chester and The Wirral.
Day 1 Monday Late morning a taxi will collect you from your home and take you to meet our Woods coach for the short journey to Portsmouth, where we board Ambassador’s Ambition to spend two nights on board, enjoying the fine food and entertainment from Ambassador Cruise Line.
Day 2 Tuesday Sea days are the perfect opportunity to explore the ship, relax and unwind and spend quality time with those around you. Whether you pamper yourself in the Green Sea Spa, experience all the outstanding cuisine we have onboard, enjoy our amazing entertainment in the Palladium and other venues, attend a class, or talk or play games with friends or family, there is something for everyone.
Day 3 Wednesday Disembarking in Liverpool early morning, your Woods coach will be waiting for you, and we begin our day with a guided coach tour of this fascinating city. You will then have free time at Albert Dock to get some lunch or visit one of the many attractions. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration. Finally, we leave Liverpool and travel to Chester and our hotel.
Day 4 Thursday This morning we make our way to Port Sunlight where we enjoy a guided tour of Port Sunlight Village. Built by William Hesketh Lever for his factory workers and named after his famous Sunlight soap, this is a superb example of how life used to be. Our day concludes with a visit to Ness Botanic Gardens where we discover sixty-four acres of beautiful gardens with glorious views over the River Dee and North Wales. We return to our hotel with time to relax before dinner.
Day 5 Friday After a leisurely breakfast, we travel into Chester, where we are met by our local guide for a guided coach tour of the city followed by a short walking tour. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration, to stroll along the unique two-tier Rows, discover the city walls, the cathedral, Roman amphitheatre or relax in one of the many pleasant cafés. We head back to the hotel with time to relax before our final evening.
Day 6 Saturday We bid farewell to Cheshire and make our way homewards with suitable refreshment stops along the way, arriving back in the local area early evening to meet the taxis to take you home.
