We are thrilled to offer this festive break at The Belgrave Sands Hotel, a haven of style and good service. Relax and enjoy Torquay, visit Dartmoor and Exeter, and be spoilt with a holiday filled with festive fun.
Day 1 (Christmas Eve) We make our way west, making suitable refreshment stops along the way and arriving at our hotel in time for tea and ‘festive treats’ in the lounge. An aperitif will be served before dinner in the Seasons Restaurant, which is accompanied by piano music.
Day 2 (Christmas Day) Santa visits us early in the morning, and then you have free time to enjoy this elegant resort town. At 5pm in the hotel there will be prize bingo, and tonight’s traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings, is followed by festive entertainment.
Day 3 (Boxing Day) Today we drive up to Buckfast Abbey on the edge of Dartmoor, before visiting Plymouth and the excellent Gin Distillery. There will be an introduction to the process, the botanicals used and, of course, a tasting. Back at our hotel, more festive entertainment.
Day 4 (New Year’s Eve) We have a half-day excursion to Exeter. Traditional cream tea will be served at our hotel in the afternoon, followed by a festive quiz and prize bingo. This evening enjoy a special seven-course tasting menu in Seasons Restaurant before dancing the night away at the New Year Party!
Day 5 We depart after breakfast and stop in Salisbury with time for lunch and shopping. We then continue our journey home.
Situated close to Torquay’s seafront, the hotel has leisure facilities which include swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift to most rooms and there is nightly entertainment.
