She was so friendly and gave us a really comfortable and scenic drive. She could not have done more to make our trip a happy one. Thanks so much from all of us. Yesterday, the Theatre Club went to Southampton for a show at the Mayflower. I should just like to say how good I thought J, our driver in coach B, was. She got on well with everyone in the coach, her personality was good and she was a safe and confident driver. The journey there was very good from a timing point of view, as was the return, apart from the usual hold-ups as you approach the roundabouts. She added to a very good day. Thank you for your Welcome Home message which I have just received. I was on the point of writing to let you know that all plans went well for the U3A visit. The system of picking up at collective points worked very well. We were impressed with the Fred Olsen "Black Watch" cruise ship, which was much enjoyed by those members who were new to the cruising world. All timings worked out well, with the Guide awaiting us in Liverpool. The much awaited Terracotta Army Exhibition was excellent, just the right amount of time before folks became tired. Our Guide for the town of Chester was most pleasant with some free time to look around the town. We were pleased to have a short lunch break in Stratford upon Avon on the way home, and amazingly we arrived in Guildford at the exact designated time shown on our Documents. I would particularly like to say how pleased I was to have E as our Driver. His peaceful demeanour and careful driving made us all feel safe and comfortable. Also he was very obliging with the help he offered to some of our elderly members. In all we enjoyed a most successful holiday. I shall be happy to travel with Woods again. I wanted to write and thank everyone involved with our coach transfers to and from Chichester to Heathrow last week. Each journey went smoothly and promptly according to plan. The pick-up service at Heathrow worked exactly as I explained, and even with one lot of passengers slightly delayed by a briefly mislaid bag and another arriving about twenty minutes early, your drivers dealt with each situation calmly and helpfully and even managed to make up time on traffic delays. We were most impressed with the service you provided, and would certainly consider using it again. Our visit was most successful, with warm and sunny weather, and everyone remarked on the smoothness of the organisation, helped in no small way by the efficiency at this end. Just a quick note to say how delighted we were regarding our Suffolk trip that you ran for us. The hotel worked very well, the gardens we visited were fabulous and S, our driver, was a complete delight. The cruise was excellent, as was the fish and chip lunch. We had a guided tour around Poole Harbour with all of the features and points of interest made known to us. We had a fantastic day. Not only because the weather exceeded all expectations, but because we all had such a great day. Everybody enjoyed the RNLI tour and our guides provided a wealth of information in a very informal way which was appreciated. I suppose the highlight of the tour was the lifeboat simulator where two of our Members were able to ‘take control’ of a lifeboat attending an incident off Dover Harbour. Whilst this was a serious matter it was treated in a light-hearted manner which we all enjoyed. I would thoroughly recommend both of these tours and by combining them together they make a really interesting and enjoyable day out. Can I also say thank you to our driver. I know I speak for everyone who travelled on our excursion to Watts Gallery yesterday when I say how much we all enjoyed the day in spite of the wet weather. We arrived at Forest Lodge Garden Centre in fine style as the traffic was light so we had plenty of time for leisurely coffee and cake plus a bit of retail therapy. Our contact was waiting for us when we arrived at Watts and was very welcoming. The majority of us walked up to the Chapel and Cemetery, which did not disappoint, before we settled down to a delicious buffet lunch. We had plenty of time after lunch to look around the Gallery, Studio and speak to the Artists in Residence. All in all a great day out and special thanks to C, our driver, for driving us in such appalling weather and also many thanks to your tours department for making all the arrangements. I just wanted you to know how pleased we all were with our trip to Sonning for the theatre yesterday. Our drivers, J and C, obviously took a great deal of trouble beforehand to decide on the route to take so that we arrived in good time, particularly in view of the fact that it was Henley Week. Both coaches arrived in time for lunch before the show. To avoid the motorways on the journey home (as it would be during rush hour), J took us on a particularly good and very pleasant ride through the countryside, arriving home an hour earlier than expected which made the end of a really perfect day. Dear J, I would like to say a big thanks to you and your staff for all the effort made to put this trip together. Throughout all the difficulties and cancellations I have been so impressed by the way the booking has been handled and the determination to ensure the trip went ahead. We all had a great time and the excursions to Embsay steam railway, Skipton, Harrogate and Ripon couldn’t have gone better despite the weather. To end it off with the National Memorial Arboretum was the icing on the cake. Our driver P, maintained and exceeded the standards we have come to expect from Woods drivers. He fully adhered to the Covid requirements and his knowledge about the excursion venues was second to none. His interaction with the passengers, professional driving ability and approachability was brilliant. The reaction I got from the rest of my group, ‘where are we going next year’, says it all. Hi, this is the first time I've done this but your coach and driver were so good on Saturday that I wanted to give you the positive feedback. We traveled from Portsmouth to London that day and the coach was lovely - clean and well equipped and with a working toilet which was essential for us. But what made the experience so good was the driver C. He was professional, friendly and helpful at all times. He left clear instructions as to where our pick up point was and was in that exact place and he didn't get grumpy (unlike some of our party) even when one of the passengers was late for the coach home. We would like to thank you for your support for our journey to and from Wales last week. G was a wonderful driver, had prepared well and drove very safely. We were able to get out for two hours on the Wednesday afternoon and some of the sisters used the minibus for a trip to see Conwy Castle and we got back in time for the afternoon session. Our day trip to the Watercress Line/Jane Austin House was an excellent day out.
