The Isles of Scilly

29th March and 2nd October 2019 for 5 nights

The Isles of Scilly lie just 28 miles from Land’s End but they offer a subtropical haven that remains a hidden gem. Dolphins, seals and tropical birds can be spotted off the coast and beautiful plants and flowers flourish inland. Only five of the islands are inhabited and each one has something different to discover. Our coach holidays to the Isles of Scilly include all of the travel, a half-board stay at The Atlantic Hotel and a full day’s walking tour of St Mary’s, the largest of these islands. The following day is set aside for a boat trip to the nearby isle of Tresco. These are some of the best UK holiday islands for peace, quiet and gentle guided walks.

The Isle Of Wight

15th June 2019 for 6 days and 7th October 2019 for 5 days.

Thought of by many as being the best UK holiday island, the Isle of Wight has much to offer its visitors. Picturesque villages, long stretches of sandy beach, fishing boats, castles and country houses are just some of the unforgettable attractions on the island. One of the 6-day holidays available in 2019 takes you to Fishbourne by ferry and onto the delightful 3-star Trouville Hotel in Shanklin. A tour of the island, a ride on the restored steam railway and a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite country home, Osbourne House, are all part of the holiday. And if that wasn’t enough, a look around the Rosemary vineyard is included on the last day en route to the ferry home. A busy coach holiday with plenty of free time built in, the Isle of Wight is a popular UK island that’s full of excitement.

In October, we offer a break to the Isle of Wight with accommodation at the Warner’s Bembridge Coast Hotel. There are so many activities to enjoy at this hotel it’s hard to know what to do first. Tennis, boules, outdoor bowls, swimming and nightly entertainment are just a few of the things to enjoy. The holiday also includes a tour of the island and a morning at Osbourne House and Gardens. A visit to Rosemary Vineyard is part of this autumn package as well.

The Isle Of Man

15th May & 18th September 2019 for 7 days.

The Isle of Man, in the Irish Sea, is an island rich in folklore and history. The National Folk Museum brings to life the farming and crofting traditions of the island, and the House of Manannan reveals Manx Viking history and tales of the sea god. A spectacular rugged coastline and unspoilt areas of natural beauty are part of the charm here as is the Manx friendly hospitality. A tour of the island takes in part of the famous TT race track and the charming fishing villages. Our coach holiday to the Isle of Man includes a half-board stay in the Empress Hotel that overlooks Douglas Bay – the perfect base for exploring all there is to see.

The Channel Islands

4th August 2019 for 6 nights.

The Channel Islands are just off the coast of Normandy, France in the English Channel. Jersey is the larger of the islands and boasts unspoilt bays, VAT-free shopping, delicious food and a 12th-century castle. St Helier is the capital and has a working port and pretty narrow streets in the old part of town. There are a couple of excellent coach holidays to the Channel Islands and one takes in the Battle of Flowers. This floral festival began in 1902 as a celebration of the coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. The day was so successful that it became an annual tradition. Floats parade through the streets adorned in blooms of every colour. There’s a moonlight parade too when the floats are lit up with thousands of tiny lights – a magical sight not to be missed.

Guernsey

7th April 2019 for 7 nights and 14th October 2019 for 5 nights.

Guernsey is for lovers of the great outdoors. With quiet beaches, coastal walking paths, wild flowers and boating trips there is plenty to do on this island. Explore the battlements and take in the wide views from the Castle Cornet. It has protected the harbour for more than 800 years and is home to five museums and four gardens. Flights, transfers, half-board at the Peninsula Hotel and excursions are all part of our Guernsey coach holidays to the Channel Islands.
