Airbourne Eastbourne – 13 August 2016 – Adult & OAP £24, Child £20
Airbourne is one of the UK’s largest and best free air-shows, with flying displays and other attractions along the sea front. The show is supported well by the Royal Air Force and the other UK armed services and regularly attracts support from air forces overseas. The 2016 programme will include the Red Arrows, the roaring RAF Typhoon and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, marking the 80th anniversary of the Spitfire and the 75th anniversary of the Lancaster Bomber.
Rolling Stones Exhibition – 22 August 2016 – Adult & OAP £60, Child £54
The Rolling Stones will stage their first ever major exhibition this year at London’s prestigious Saatchi Gallery. Taking over nine thematic galleries spread across two floors, there will be over five hundred Rolling Stones important and unseen artefacts from the band’s personal archives. A series of interlinked ‘immersive’ rooms will tell the story of the Stones, from “that grotty flat” to the sights, sounds and smells of the recording studio in Barnes where the band recorded six albums, including Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers and Beggars Banquet.
Grande Braderie de Lille – 03 September – £60
Each first weekend of September, Lille becomes the worldwide capital of flea markets and bargain-hunting, while offering a unique opportunity to discover the colourful Flemish city with its exuberant architecture. Join Woods Travel as they journey to Lille via Eurotunnel and get a taste of the largest flea market in Europe and one of the most famous events in France and beyond its borders.
Chinese State Circus – 11 September – £53
The internationally acclaimed Chinese State Circus is returning with a spectacular new production – “DYNASTY”. Experience stunning world class Chinese acrobats, aerial artistes and jugglers interact with the super-human physical skills and dexterity of the masters of martial arts – the legendary Shaolin Warriors. The non-stop action is set to a soaring musical score accompanied by the rhythmic beats of Chinese percussion.
Ronan Keating – 02 October – £54
2016 will see Ronan take to the road, touring his tenth studio album, aptly entitled Time of My Life, and Woods are offering tickets to his Brighton Centre show. These are instantly affecting songs of celebration and emotion, of love and loss and more importantly… honesty. Keating says, “This is the music I’ve always wanted to make. This is who I am and it feels absolutely right. To go out with all this new material, and playing guitar, will be so exciting.”
Guys & Dolls – 27 October – £60
The sizzling New York tale of gamblers, gangsters and nightclub singers will thrill you with a cast and orchestra over 40, featuring some of Broadway’s greatest show‑stopping tunes, including Luck Be a Lady, Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat and My Time of Day.
