Chase away the winter blues with a short break to the ever-popular Rosemundy House Hotel in St Agnes. Here we start Christmas early with festive celebrations and entertainment at our beautifully decorated hotel and visits to some of the prettiest towns along the Cornish coast.
Day 1 We head west, with a stop in Exeter for lunch before continuing to our hotel. We have a glass of sherry in the bar before dinner.
Day 2 This morning we make our way to Boscastle, a pretty town on the north Cornish coast. We return to our hotel mid-afternoon and tonight after dinner we have festive entertainment.
Day 3 Today we visit Truro where you could view the magnificent cathedral or just relax in one of the cafés. We continue to Mevagissey, a maze of narrow alleyways, small coves and great cliffs and well known as a smuggler’s haunt. This evening a visit from Santa is followed by a traditional Christmas dinner and then live entertainment.
Day 4 After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Falmouth where you can explore the picturesque narrow streets and harbour. On our return we visit a Cornish cider farm where we enjoy a cream tea. After dinner we have a festive quiz and mince pies.
Day 5 Departing our hotel after breakfast, we make our way back to the local area, having suitable refreshment stops along the way.
This delightful and elegant hotel has been tastefully extended and is set in its own secluded gardens and woodland, only 100 yards from the main street of the unspoilt village of St Agnes. All rooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has WiFi, does not have a lift, but some ground floor rooms are available.
