Join us on a visit to The Thursford Spectacular, a world-renowned Christmas variety show held annually in an otherwise sleepy village in Norfolk. Known for its extravagant performances, it combines stunning music, dance, and theatre with a magical festive atmosphere. Featuring a huge cast of talented singers, dancers, and musicians – many from West End stages - this fast-moving three-hour celebration of the season artfully combines famous chart-toppers performed with more traditional carols and year-round favourites. The Spectacular has become a highlight of the holiday season, offering audiences a memorable experience with its blend of traditional Christmas themes and dazzling entertainment, drawing visitors from all over the world. Woods are proud to host four Thursford holidays this year, each lasting four days and featuring a different hotel and itinerary.
Day 1 We travel to our hotel in King’s Lynn via the lovely town of Ely.
Day 2 Thursford Spectacular! After a relaxed breakfast we travel to Thursford. We arrive with time to get lunch and visit the shops before the afternoon performance.
Day 3 After breakfast we visit Blickling Hall for a look around the majestic house and gardens. On our return we have some free time in King’s Lynn.
Day 4 We return home with a stop in Saffron Walden before returning to the local area and our taxis home.
Our four-star Georgian hotel overlooks the marketplace in the heart of King's Lynn old town, and combines elegant charm and modern amenities. There is a pleasant restaurant serving local produce, a bar and lounge. Each of the 79 individually styled bedrooms has TV, telephone, WiFi, safe, ironing facilities, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a lift to most rooms. This tour includes a visit to Blickling Hall and Estate.
