Join us on this tour which highlights the history and beauty of the Cotswolds in Summer. There are many sole use rooms available on this holiday.
Day 1 We travel across country toward Bristol and our hotel, making suitable refreshment stops along the way. The afternoon is free to explore Bristol.
Day 2 This morning we visit Chavenage House near Tetbury, a wonderful Elizabethan house packed with antiques, and used as a filming location for many productions including “Wolf Hall” and “Poldark”, where the house became “Trenwith”. We have homemade soup for lunch within the house. This afternoon we make the short journey to Westonbirt Arboretum, one of the most mature and extraordinary arboretums to be found anywhere in the world.
Day 3 This morning we visit Bath, with free time to explore the attractions that the elegant city has to offer. This afternoon we journey to The American Museum & Gardens, containing a spectacular collection of American decorative and folk art, and temporary exhibitions showcasing a range of different topics, as well as the stunning gardens.
Day 4 Departing after breakfast, we travel south east and visit Winchester, before continuing to the local area.
The superb four-star Hilton Garden Inn Bristol City is set in the heart of the city centre, within walking distance of shops and theatres. With all the modern facilities you would expect of a four-star hotel, the hotel has a restaurant, bar, coffee shop and fitness centre.
