Day 2 Today we cross the border and visit Trier, one of the oldest cities in Germany, full of culture and impressive landmarks. Explore the town’s Roman Heritage, including the iconic Porta Nigra, stroll along the Moselle or enjoy a coffee in one of the many cafés. Reboarding our coach, we continue along the Moselle Valley with a visit and a tasting at one of the local vineyards.
Day 3 After breakfast we make our way to Luxembourg City for a morning guided tour. Learn more about the fascinating Book Casements, with fortifications which date back to the 17th Century, and enjoy the panoramic views from the fortress. The city is a charming mix of history, modernity and natural beauty, and you have free time in the afternoon to explore. You could visit the cathedral or the Grand Ducal Palace (entrance not included), or just wander through the cobbled streets of the historic old town. You’ll find charming squares, quaint cafés, and shops surrounded by beautiful medieval buildings.
