Day 1 We travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to France. We continue through France and Belgium arriving in Luxembourg and Vianden, dominated by its dramatic castle, late afternoon.
Day 2 After breakfast we make our way to Luxembourg City for a morning guided tour with a free afternoon to soak up the sights and sounds, or visit the cathedral or the Grand Ducal Palace
Day 3 Today we cross the border and visit Trier, Germany’s oldest town and a former Roman settlement. We then continue along the Moselle Valley with a visit and a tasting at one of the local vineyards.
Day 4 A half day excursion into the picturesque Mullerthal region, known as ‘Little Switzerland’, making a stop at Diekirch, with its beautifully preserved medieval façades and heritage buildings. Our scenic drive continues past the castle at Larochette, Beaufort and Berdorf, before returning to Vianden for the afternoon. This evening, dinner is followed by musical entertainment.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast we return through Belgium to Calais/Dunkirk for our crossing to Dover. We return to the local area and take you to your door.
