Day 1 MONDAY Leaving the local area early in the morning, we travel north to St Annes-on-Sea making suitable refreshment stops along the way and arriving in time for dinner.
Day 2 TUESDAY This morning we visit Rufford Old Hall. A stunning Tudor Great Hall with fantastic furniture, tapestries and a carved oak screen. History springs to life in the Hesketh’s dining room, its food laden table, lit candles and ‘fire in the hearth’ waiting for the family’s dinner guests. We continue to the elegant coastal town of Southport; a truly timeless destination, offering a perfect mix of traditional seaside charm and modern attractions.
Day 3 WEDNESDAY Enjoy a jaunt up the coast to Lancashire's entertainment capital, Blackpool. Discover award-winning attractions and the world-famous Blackpool Tower and Ballroom. This evening enjoy a Guided Illuminations drive taking you through the 6 miles of dazzling “artificial sunlight” as over a million lamps, lasers and light bulbs create an electric extravaganza.
Day 4 THURSDAY A day at leisure to experience the wide-open sandy beaches of St Annes with its traditional pier, beach huts, mini links golf or the pretty green and historic windmill on Lytham Green offering views across to Southport and even North Wales on a clear day.
Day 5 FRIDAY Departing after breakfast, we head south and arrive in the local area late afternoon.
