Embark on a journey of natural beauty and cultural discovery as we explore the mesmerising Dutch Bulbfields of Keukenhof - an expansive wonderland where a kaleidoscope of blooms and themed gardens create an unforgettable feast for the senses. We also visit the delightful city of Amsterdam and the historic gems of Gouda and Delft.
Day 1 MONDAY We travel to Dover for our crossing to France. From here we take the motorways through Belgium into The Netherlands, reaching our hotel for our four-night stay.
Day 2 TUESDAY A full day to explore the unique city of Amsterdam with its famous tree-lined canals and preserved 17th-century gabled houses. We include a 1-hour canal cruise, followed by some free leisure time to explore this fascinating city. Discover Museumplein, the cultural heart of Amsterdam; visit Anne Frank House or simply sit and watch the world go by from a pavement café - the choice is yours! (Entrances not included.)
Day 3 WEDNESDAY We visit the world famous Keukenhof Gardens, with plenty of time to enjoy the gardens created in 1949 as a showpiece for the Dutch flower industry, and to walk among the magnificent displays of tulips and other bulbs which bloom in their millions.
Day 4 THURSDAY Today we visit Gouda, a pretty town famous for its cheese and its delicious syrup waffles. We then make our way to Delft – a miniature Amsterdam with its own canals and famous chinaware, where we have an included visit to the Royal Delft Museum.
Day 5 FRIDAY On our return journey we visit Antwerp, with free time for shopping and lunch. We then travel back to Calais for our return sea crossing, and the journey home.
