Our base for this tour is in the wooded area to the east of Dawlish known as Dawlish Warren. Relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings or join our driver on excursions to Dartmoor, Exmouth and Bicton Park Botanical Gardens.
Day 1 We set off west, making suitable refreshment stops, and arriving at our hotel in Dawlish Warren in the afternoon. We have a drinks reception before dinner this, and every evening.
Day 2 We spend the day in the wild and wonderful Dartmoor National Park. Look out for the wild ponies as we drive across to Princetown and return via Tavistock.
Day 3 We visit Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, set in Devon’s Otter Valley. The Grade I listed gardens are the product of almost 300 years of horticultural history and we have included the gardens, glass houses and a ride on the woodland railway. We finish our outing with some free time in Exmouth.
Day 4 A free day to relax at our hotel or explore the area. Alternatively, join you driver on a half-day excursion to Torquay.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we travel home via Dorchester, reaching the local area late afternoon.
Our three-star hotel is set in 19 acres of peaceful woodland in Dawlish Warren, overlooking the Exe Estuary with the beach close by via a public footpath. All bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is a comfortable lounge, bar, restaurant, garden, terrace and both indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel has balcony rooms at a supplement and has a lift.
