A new look at a favourite destination, we return to the magnificent Cotswolds with a tour full of animals, cities, gardens, and history. There are many sole use rooms on this holiday.
Day 1 We start by making our way cross country to Salisbury for free time to explore the city, get lunch, take in a park or see the cathedral before we continue to our hotel.
Day 2 Today we take the short drive into Swindon to visit STEAM, the Great Western Railway Museum. This tells the story of the railway’s creation by Brunel, and the people who made it a reality, and the majestic engines on display. We then have time to get refreshments and explore the nearby designer outlet.
Day 3 This morning, we journey through the Wiltshire scenery to the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens with plenty of time to visit the many birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and primates who live there, see the penguin talk or roam through “theatre with plants” in the walled garden. We depart mid-afternoon.
Day 4 After breakfast we check out of our hotel and travel to Winchester with time to get lunch and explore before we head for home.
Set in the Wiltshire countryside, this comfortable and friendly hotel is a great location for us to explore this beautiful part of Britain. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and gym. The rooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer, tea & coffee making and ironing facilities. The hotel has a lift to all rooms and WiFi in public areas.
