We visit Yarmouth on the west of the island, to wander the cobbled streets, with quaint shops and cafés.
We continue to Farringford, home to Alfred Lord Tennyson, Poet Laureate, from 1856 until 1892. It was sold by the Tennyson family in1945 and converted into a hotel. Since 2010 it has undergone extensive restoration and has re-opened to the public as an historic home.
