Spectacular Shows on the South Coast

London is the place to go for the greatest choice of shows in the UK, with many of the best musicals and plays running for months and possibly even years!  However, if the thought of travelling into the city by train, car or even luxury coach (Woods, of course) seems too far to see your favourite show or concert, there may be an alternative.

The Mayflower Theatre in Southampton is a Grade II listed theatre, ideally located close to Southampton Central railway station.  Since its opening in 1928, it has undergone several name changes and a number of refurbishments with the most recent in summer 2018.  Many of the seats have been completely reupholstered and the auditorium redecorated to the new red and gold colour scheme.  Together with new environmentally friendly lighting, better disabled facilities and refurbishment of bars and function rooms, it is certainly a challenger for some of its West End competitors.

Best of all, it is now possible to see a West End show right on your doorstep.  There are some terrific concerts and amazing theatrical productions touring the country with many coming to the south coast during 2020, so why not enjoy some great entertainment just a short distance away.  Treat yourself further and include lunch in their multi-award winning Ovation Restaurant – many of our matinee performances have a lunch option available.

Here is small selection of what’s on offer at The Mayflower Theatre this year, and with luxury coach travel included all you need to do is sit back and enjoy the show!
