Big Cat Sanctuary
If you are a lover of our feline friends, then this is the purr-fect experience for you!

Residing in 32 acres of flourishing grass land located in Kent, is the Wildlife Heritage Foundations’ Big Cat Sanctuary, home to 51 majestic cats including leopards, tigers, lions, cheetahs, pumas and jaguars!

The successful breeding of these stunning animals is a result of the outstanding conditions and restful habitat provided by the WHF, a vision of Peter Sampson whose determination and enthusiasm for the cause has always been reflected in their mission statement to be recognised and respected as being a centre of excellence for endangered big cats.

Marwell Zoo
A trip to Marwell Zoo is the perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with the wonderful examples of the natural world with an incredible 140-acres creating a beautiful habitat for endangered and exotic species from around the globe.

Experience the animal stars at Marwell Zoo from the graceful snow leopards keeping watch at Roof of the World, to the mighty hippos taking a dip in the semi-aquatic mammal house and the fun doesn’t stop there! You can also enjoy the daily talks and activities, road and rail trains, beautiful grounds and gardens as well as the brand new Wild Explorers, allowing you to experience the African wilderness first hand!

Monkeyworld
Home to the stars of ‘Monkey Business’ and ‘Monkey Life,’ the stunning 65-acre park provides sanctuary for over 250 endangered and rescued primates, assisting the governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild.

Get up close and personal to the largest group of chimpanzees outside of Africa as well as five different species of gibbon, eight species of monkeys and prosimians as well as three groups of orang-utan of three different species. Monkeyworld is home to Europe’s only Orang-utan crèche, successfully breeding orang-utans as part of the European Endangered Species Programme.

The Hawk Conservancy Trust
This beautiful award-winning visitor centre is set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, and has dedicated many years to the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey.

There’s plenty to see and do at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, from educational talks introducing you to different species of birds of prey to the breath-taking flying displays taking place in three different arenas! If you’re visiting with little ones, don’t forget to swing by the adventure playground, or find out more about the additional activities on offer during the school holidays and weekends.

Meet the friendly donkeys of the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary, discover their unique personalities and make a friend for life!

Over the last 45 years, The Donkey Sanctuary has made a great impact by transforming the quality of life for donkeys, mules and people worldwide, a result of the drive and belief of Founder, Dr Elisabeth Svendsen MBE, a vision and passion passed onto to the staff, volunteers and partners worldwide.
