The historical towns and cities of Kent lay on the most magical Christmas Markets which are brimming with festive spirit and atmosphere, as well as plenty of gift shopping opportunity! Delight in a huge range of speciality products, handmade decorations, seasonal food, and live entertainment as we explore the county’s best Christmas shopping events.
Day 1 We travel east towards Kent, with a stop in Tunbridge Wells for a chance to explore the elegant charm of The Pantiles. Continuing to our hotel, we arrive with plenty of time before dinner this evening.
Day 2 Spend today at leisure in the cathedral city of Canterbury, where the Christmas Market will be in full swing, lining St George’s Street and the Whitefriars Shopping Centre. You will find a host of chalets with authentic arts, crafts, gifts and mouth-watering food and drink. You can also make the most of the unique, independent shops situated throughout the cobbled streets of the city, or you may like to visit the cathedral.
Day 3 After breakfast, we head to Rochester Christmas Market which is set in the spectacular Castle gardens. It is the ideal place to find that special gift, with over 100 trade stalls selling everything from stocking fillers to unique treasures. Soak up the festive atmosphere and enjoy the music performances and entertainment. Get a bite to eat at the Bavarian food village where you can also find hot and cold beverages, mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.
Day 4 We begin the journey home with a stop at Folkestone Harbour for the annual Festive Marketplace, a christmassy oasis of independent market stalls, live music and delicious food and drink – the perfect end to your Festive weekend. We return to the local area and meet our taxis late afternoon.
