A tour through transport history as we visit Charlecote Park, the British Motor Museum at Gaydon, the Midland Air Museum and take a cruise on the Dudley Canal, all from our hotel to the south of Warwick.
Day 1 After a morning taxi pick up, we make our way up to Warwickshire and our hotel, making suitable stops along the way.
Day 2 After breakfast we visit 16th-century Charlecote Park, explore the wonderful house, grounds, parklands and the stables which house the family’s carriage collection, each with its own story to tell. In the afternoon we visit The British Motor Museum - the world's largest collection of over 300 historic British cars.
Day 3 We spend our day strolling through the past as we visit the Black Country Living Museum. This remarkable site offers a glimpse into 200 years of history with over 50 authentic shops, houses and workshops. Later we don our hard hats for a 45-minute cruise along the Dudley Canal and through its tunnels.
Day 4 Today we start our day in the city of Coventry, home to the Coventry Transport Museum (not included). You have time to explore the historical city or visit the magnificent cathedral or wide variety of museums. After lunch we make the short journey to the Midland Air Museum, one of the country's leading independent aviation museums. Exhibits included the magnificent Avro Vulcan bomber, more than 30 other historic aircraft, both civil and military, aero engines and other artefacts and memorabilia.
