Delve into the scenery and history of this remarkable county with scenic drives, stately homes, Shakespeare’s Stratford, the British Motor Museum and the excellent Black Country Living Museum.
Day 1 After a morning taxi pick up, we make our way up to Warwickshire and our hotel, making suitable stops along the way. We have a welcome drink before dinner to get to know your fellow guests.
Day 2 After breakfast we visit 16th-century Charlecote Park, explore the wonderful house, grounds, parklands and the stables which house the family’s carriage collection, each with its own story to tell. In the afternoon we visit The British Motor Museum - the world's largest collection of over 300 historic British cars.
Day 3 We spend our day strolling through the past as we visit the Black Country Living Museum. This remarkable site offers a glimpse into 200 years of history with over 50 authentic shops, houses and workshops. In the afternoon we visit the centre of Birmingham, for a chance to look around the shops or visit one of the excellent museums and art galleries.
Day 4 We spend our morning in Stratford-upon-Avon, where you might like to visit some of the sights associated with Shakespeare, or just explore the town. We then travel into the Cotswolds, visiting some of the honeystoned villages and stopping for tea and cake in the afternoon.
Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast, we make our way homewards, with suitable stops along the way, reaching our taxis late afternoon for our transfer home.
Our four-star modern hotel sits in the grounds of the 16th-century Hall close to Wellesbourne in Warwickshire. The hotel has a modern bar lounge, swimming pool, gym, steam room and sauna.
