Relax and enjoy a break at Warner’s Nottinghamshire property – Thoresby Hall. As well as the wealth of activities and entertainment available, we visit Bolsover Castle, Crich Tramway Village, the Peak District National Park and the National Memorial Arboretum.
Day 1 After the usual taxi pick ups we travel north with suitable refreshment stops along the way. We reach our Warner’s hotel near Nottingham with time to relax before dinner.
Day 2 This morning we have an excursion to Bolsover Castle, a fairy-tale Stuart mansion with spectacular views over Derbyshire. There are quite a few steps within the Little Castle, but there are other attractions to see and a pleasant café. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the many activities and facilities at our hotel.
Day 3 A free day to enjoy Thoresby Hall. Alternatively join your driver on a drive into the Peak District National Park with a visit to Bakewell. Return to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Day 4 This morning we travel back in time at Crich Tramway Village, home to the National Tramway Museum. You can enjoy unlimited rides on the world-renowned trams through the lovingly restored period village. There is also a chance to explore the Woodland Walk, Sculpture Trail and visit the Red Lion Pub or tearooms. The afternoon is free to enjoy Thoresby.
Day 5 We make our way south, with a stop to visit the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. We then continue toward the local area making a suitable refreshment stop along the way.
The majestic Thoresby Hall Hotel and Spa is a Grade 1 listed mansion in 30 acres of beautifully landscaped Victorian gardens on the edge of Sherwood Forest. Leisure facilities include swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, croquet, putting green, bowls and much more!
