Day 1 We travel up to our hotel near Hungerford arriving mid-afternoon. After dinner, an evening show.
Day 2 A morning excursion to the pretty Roman town of Cirencester. We return to Littlecote in the afternoon for you to take full advantage of the many activities and facilities at your hotel.
Day 3 A morning visit to Bowood House, filled with treasures and surrounded by gorgeous gardens and 2000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown parkland. Spend the afternoon in Marlborough or at your hotel.
Day 4 Today we visit the remarkable Hawk Conservancy Trust where there are over 150 birds of prey to meet and learn about, from tiny pigmy owls to huge Steller’s Sea Eagles. We have an included lunch in Feathers Restaurant, and the rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy the many activities at our hotel.
Day 5 Departing after breakfast, we make a stop in Winchester, before continuing our journey, arriving in the local area early evening.
Our four-star hotel near Hungerford is a superb Grade 1 listed 16th-century Tudor mansion in 40 acres of landscaped grounds. Hosting Tudor monarchs, civil war captains and Regency nobles, it was here that Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour. Relax in the Great Hall, Cromwellian Chapel, Library or the Chinese Drawing Room and dine in the Popham Restaurant. There is also WiFi, an indoor swimming pool, bubble pool, sauna, steam room and fitness centre. Our rooms have TV, telephone, ironing facilities, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift to some rooms.
