In late April and early May Pashley Manor’s spectacular Tulip Festival sees the gardens carpeted with over 40,000 tulips creating a breathtaking vision of colour. Visit this quintessential English garden, Herstmonceux Gardens and travel on the Bluebell Line as the spring countryside bursts into life.
Day 1 After your door to door service, we travel eastwards and have a stop at Birling Gap to look across the glorious cliﬀs, before making our way down into Eastbourne. The afternoon is free to explore the town, or relax in the lounges until dinner is served.
Day 2 A drive through the countryside to Sheﬃeld Park to join the Bluebell Railway for a nostalgic train ride to East Grinstead. We rejoin our coach and continue to Royal Tunbridge Wells, with its elegant streets, Georgian buildings and the famous Pantiles. There is free time for lunch and exploration before we return to our hotel.
Day 3 After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Pashley Manor, where over 100 varieties of tulip have been planted in elegant and vibrant displays in these award-winning gardens. Enjoy also the other spring blossoms and delicate blooms, visit the shop or relax in the Garden Room Café.
Day 4 After a leisurely breakfast, we visit Herstmonceux Gardens, where beautiful parkland and superb formal gardens surround the picturesque moated castle. There will be time to explore and purchase some lunch in the tearoom before we begin our journey home.
Our three-star hotel is located on the seafront 500 yards from Eastbourne Pier, and a short walk from the town centre. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, veranda bar and comfortable lounges. All bedrooms have TV, telephone, WiFi, hairdryer and hospitality tray. The hotel has a lift.
