Itinerary

Day 1 After a taxi pick up from your home, we make our way via some of the pretty towns of the Cotswolds to Stourport-on-Severn and our hotel.

Day 2 This morning we visit Berrington Hall (NT), an elegant neo-classical house designed by Henry Holland and set in ‘Capability’ Brown’s final landscape design. Our afternoon is spent in Leominster, an historic market town of medieval black and white buildings.

Day 3 We visit Wightwick Manor and Gardens (NT). This remarkable house was built in the Victorian era with nostalgia for medieval England with timber beams and barley-twist chimneys; rich William Morris furnishings and exquisite Pre-Raphaelite paintings. In the afternoon we board the Severn Valley Railway for a delightful ride along the beautiful Severn Valley.

Day 4 Two National Trust treasures today starting with Baddesley Clinton (NT), one of the finest moated manor houses in England with over 500 years of fascinating history, nestled in excellent period gardens. In the afternoon we visit Packwood House (NT). Originally 16th Century, but restored in the 20th to house a wonderful collection of period furniture, textiles and tapestries.

Day 5 Leaving our hotel after breakfast we travel south with a stop in Cheltenham, before continuing to home, meeting our taxis late afternoon.
