Once again we have secured our place at the largest and arguably the best Christmas show in the country! In its 46th year, the Thursford Spectacular promises to be the biggest and best ever! It is set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, with a cast of 120 professional singers, dancers and musicians – most of whom are straight out of the West End. The three-hour performance delivers an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast-moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites, with famous and much-loved chart toppers being performed alongside traditional carols. We are offering three alternative itineraries for this wonderful event – each with its own advantages and attractions. Each four-day tour includes a day at Thursford with time to have lunch before the matinee performance. Join us for this chance to enjoy the most popular English Christmas show of all time!
Day 1 We travel to our hotel near Norwich via Bury St Edmunds and some beautiful Suffolk countryside.
Day 2 Thursford Spectacular! After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Thursford. We arrive with time to get lunch and visit the shop before the afternoon show.
Day 3 After breakfast, we make our way to the Bure Valley Railway for a 9-mile journey to Wroxham. We also have some free time in Norwich.
Day 4 We return home via the beautiful town of Ely before returning to the local area and our taxis home.
Our hotel is situated in 350 acres of the beautiful Wensum Valley, near Norwich. The hotel boasts comfortable restaurants, bar and lounge, WiFi, an indoor swimming pool, sauna, spa bath, steam room and gym. All bedrooms have TV, telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray. There is no lift, but plenty of ground floor rooms. Rooms are accessed by a covered walkway.
